“For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” (Matthew 6:14)

Prayer:

Lord, You know the hurt and sorrow we carry over the wounds inflicted upon us by others and how resentment over their actions and words fester deep within our souls. And Lord, You know how this resentment is choking and strangling Your life out of us. Help us Lord to release this terrible weight of bitterness so that we can experience Your mercy and grace through the forgiveness You provide for our sin. Therefore, we humbly ask Your help to remember the countless times we have fallen short of Your glory and Your holy and righteous standards for life. Thank you for Your boundless and unconditional love and may this love permeate all that we do as we remember forgive others their sins as You have forgiven our sins. And this we ask in Jesus’s name.
