A Scripture and a Prayer: “Courage to Obey”

“Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:7)

Prayer:

Lord, with all the challenges we face in life, challenges that test our resolve to live for You and according to Your word, we ask for Your strength and courage to stand strong in You. We also understand that courage isn’t the absence of fear, but it is moving forward by faith in You despite our fear. Help keep on the straight and narrow, Your highway of Holiness, and not turn from it, either towards the right or the left. Infuse us with confidence and impart within us Your Holy Spirit so that we can remain those faithful followers. And this we ask in Jesus’s name. AMEN
