A Scripture and a Prayer: “Come Holy Spirit”

“And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.” (Joel 2:28)

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, what a promise You’ve given, and a promise that we should and need to take hold of. Please pour out the Holy Spirit upon this lost and dying world. We need Your presence and hear Your word now more than ever. And to Your invitation to go and tell of Your great grace, let us be like Isaiah who said, “Here am I. Send me!” But I know that the power to speak Your words comes only from the Holy Spirit’s anointing. And so, we come to You today asking for this wonderful anointing of the Holy Spirit upon our lives. AMEN
