A Scripture and a Prayer: “Casting Cares”

“Cast all your care upon God, for He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

Prayer:

Lord, how easy is it to rely upon ourselves and our understanding of a situation and try to find a solution and work it out. But unfortunately, we find ourselves coming up short of the desired results, especially when we’ve been hurt, or experienced disappointments, which have our anxiety levels skyrocketing. Thank you, therefore, for providing us a way to deal with these issues, and that is by giving them over to You, knowing how much You care for us. What a blessing it is having You carry these hurts, anxieties, and disappointments away, and then give us the strength and grace to live this day for You. AMEN
