A Scripture and a Prayer: “A Famine Is Coming”

“‘Behold, the days are coming,’ says the Lord God, ‘that I will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord.’” (Amos 8:11)

Prayer:

Merciful Father, I humbly ask for Your grace and mercy in these coming days as we see this prophecy being fulfilled in our land. Please Lord, turn our hearts, turn all our hearts towards You and Your word, and away from the ways and philosophies of this world. Help us to have hearts that will receive Your correction and bring health and healing to our souls and spirits. Today we’re so concerned over the physical that we have ignored and/or forgotten the spiritual. Have mercy, O Lord, and heal. AMEN
