“What’s In Your Hand?

Thought for Today: “What’s In Your Hand?”

When it comes to fulfilling the Great Commission, many people think that they really don’t have much to give. But that’s not true. Moses thought like that as well, and God had to correct his stinken’ thinken’.

Moses didn’t think to highly of His abilities, but God said, “What is that in your hand” (Exodus 4:2).

God doesn’t ask us to use what we don’t have, rather He asks us to use what we do have. God used the simple shepherd’s rod Moses had in his hand and did great miracles.

So, what’s in your hand? What do you have to give? What are your gifts?

The Apostle Paul tells us that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). So instead of saying “I can’t,” instead say, “I can through Christ.”

“Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:6-7)
