A Scripture and a Prayer: “Let’s Start Closing In”

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” (James 4:8)

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, may we come to You with a humble heart, submitted to Your will, and with a desire to glorify You as Lord over our lives. Help us to come into Your presence with clean hands and a pure heart. And help us keep our ears open, and our eyes ever focused upon You, as we start closing in our this truly wonderful relationship we have with You. And when we do, may we experience a real and sustained closeness to You, along with the blessing that come when we are in such a relationship. And this we ask in Jesus’s name. AMEN
