A Scripture and a Prayer: “Branching Out For God”

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” (John 15:1-2)

Prayer:

To understand the depth of this is overwhelming. That You, Lord Jesus, are the vine that we attach our lives to is beyond a blessing, because it is through Your life in us, that our lives can produce fruit, which glorifies You. But not just any fruit, the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. And this is not just in portioned amounts, but when pruned by Your loving hands, it will bear much fruit where our lives will be fruitful for Your kingdom. Therefore, may we truly branch out for You. AMEN
