Scripture and a Prayer: “God’s Bread for Us”

“It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” (Luke 4:4)

Prayer:

Lord, as we look at this Scripture, let us remember how many were following You for the wrong reason. Jesus, You said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled.” (John 6:26) But the food You provide is not like the food of this world, but it is spiritual, and it nourishes our soul and spirit giving to us an abundant life until we’re with you in Heaven for all eternity. Therefore, may we feast at the table of Your word, and not allow Satan to tempt us with anything less. AMEN
