A Scripture and a Prayer: “A Mighty Fortress”

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear.” (Psalm 46:1-2a)

Prayer:

Lord, I cannot tell You how this comforts my soul knowing that You are our refuge and strength, and a sure help in times of trouble. And so, when enemy comes looking to steal, kill, and destroy, we have this assurance that we can run to You to find refuge and safety. As You promised, keep us in and under the shelter and shadow of Your wings and from the storms that come our way. And because of this we have nothing to fear, for Your rod and staff they give us comfort when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death. Therefore, thank you Lord for this wonderful promise. AMEN
