A Scripture and a Prayer: “Godly Wisdom Delivers”

“He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but whoever walks wisely will be delivered.” (Proverbs 28:26)

Prayer:

Lord, what you are saying is that far too often we are our own worst enemy, in that we hear more readily our voices and not Yours. This is mainly because our sin nature desires what we want, and not what You want, or better yet, what is best for our lives. Therefore, when we listen to our hearts, which You say is deceitful above everything else, then we are foolish. But to be wise, means that we choose Your truth over our perverted versions of it, or better yet, we believe the lie. Therefore, help us walk wisely in this world, and then You promised that we will be delivered. AMEN
