Thought For Today: “Family Statement of Faith”
The Bible makes clear our responsibility as parents to our children.
“These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)
We need to instill within our children a respect for the Scriptures, authentic faith, and a desire to minister. The best way we can do that is to allow our children and grandchildren to see it in our own lives.
Therefore, let’s make a family statement of faith that can be seen and verbalized. Joshua said, “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)
Where there is no revelation, no vision, people cast off all restraint (Proverbs 29:18).
