Thought For Today: “Prepare Yourself in Quiet”

The Spirit’s anointing upon our public witness flows from our private time with the Lord.

David was anointed by Samuel to be king, but this was only the confirmation of what the Lord had already done in David’s life in the quite times.

How is our quite time?

We need to take time to be with the Lord, through time in His word, prayer, and worship, and let the Lord minister into our lives so that we can minister into the lives of others.

The Lord looks at what’s on the inside, not how we appear outwardly.

“The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7)
