A Scripture and a Prayer: “Be Intentional”

“Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.” (Proverbs 4:25-27)

Prayer:

Lord, help us keep our eyes fixed upon the prize, that is, fixed upon You, heaven, and an eternity in Your presence. Help us run the race set before us, with You and heaven as our finish line. Help us not to be like Peter, instead help us keep our eyes fixed upon You, and off the circumstances and situation that surround us, that is, off the wind and waves that want to take us under. Help us to be intentional to this one thing, and that is seeking You above all else so that we might dwell in Your house all the days of our lives, and to behold Your beauty. And this I ask in Your precious name Jesus. AMEN
