A Scripture and a Prayer: “Casting Cares”

“Cast all your care upon God, for He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

Prayer:

Lord, how easy it is for us to rely upon ourselves and our understanding of a situation and try to find a solution and work it out. But unfortunately, the results always come up short, especially when we’ve been hurt or experienced disappointments, which have our anxiety levels skyrocketing. Thank you, therefore, for providing a way to deal with these issues, and that is by giving them all over to You, knowing how much You care for us. What a blessing it is having You carry these hurts, anxieties, and disappointments away, and instead, give us the strength and grace to live this day for You. AMEN
