A Scripture and a Prayer: “Our Strength and Shield”

“The Lord is my strength, my shield from every danger. I trust in Him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.” (Psalm 28:7)

Prayer:

Lord, what joy fills our hearts knowing that You are always there, that You will never leave nor forsake us in our time of need, and that You are our strength and shield in times of trouble when it seems like we are all alone with no one to help and no refuge to run to. But by faith we trust You, knowing that we are never alone. Therefore, we will not fear the pestilence that walks by night or of the arrow that flies by day. And, He will command His angels to guard us in all your ways. What comfort and joy this is. Therefore, our hearts rejoice with grateful thanks and praise. AMEN
