A Scripture and a Prayer: “God’s Command to Be Courageous”
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)
Prayer:
Lord, in this life You will call upon us to move into areas that will take nothing less than Your courage and strength working in and through us through the power of the Holy Spirit. And we can have this confidence that if You have called then You will provide. Therefore, there should be nothing that we should fear. Even when we have to walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we fear no evil, for You are with us to guide and protect. We humbly ask, therefore, that You help keep our eyes upon You, and off the winds and waves that the world sends against us. And this we ask in Jesus’s name. AMEN
