A Scripture and a Prayer: “Transformed by the Spirit”

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 3:18)

Prayer:

Lord, I pray that when we look into the mirror, or when people look at us, the reflection that comes back or what others see is not us, but rather it is Jesus Christ living within us. Therefore, You will help us stop conforming to this sin-darkened world, and instead, would You, through Your Holy Spirit continue to transform us more and more into Your wonderful image. And so, may others see within us the beauty of Your love, peace, grace, and mercy for their lives. Therefore, like the song, “Make Me Like You,” may our prayer today be, “Lord I am willing do what you must do, make me like you, Lord, make me like You.”
