A Scripture and a Prayer: “A New Beginning”

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” (Ezekiel 36:26)

Prayer:

Thank you, Lord, for being gracious and merciful, not to mention long-suffering and patient towards us and the hardness of our hearts. This is why I want to give You thanks for sending Your Son, Jesus, to forgive our sins and to replace these hearts of stone with a heart of flesh. Thank You, Lord, for giving us a new heart, a heart totally in love with You, and a new Spirit, that is, the Holy Spirit who now lives within us in order to lead us into all truth, and to direct us in Your ways and upon Your path. And so, once again and always I want to thank you. AMEN
