A Scripture and a Prayer: “God’s Word of Judgment”

“There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day.” (John 12:48)

Prayer:

Lord, may we truly and faithfully hide Your words deep within our hearts that we might not sin against You. Jesus, you give us this warning saying that if we hear Your words and do not believe, then it these very words that will judge us in the last days. And so, I ask You Lord to give to us the ability to hear and comprehend what Your word says, and then the strength and courage to keep them even in the face of opposition and persecution. And Father this I ask in Jesus’s name. AMEN
