Thought For Today: “An Upward & Outward Call”

God is calling all of us out with and upward and outward calling.

We see this upward and outward call on the Apostle Paul’s life.

He said in Philippians 3:14, “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

And the reason may very well be from what he wrote to the Corinthian church about what the Lord said and the calling He gives to His people.

“I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people…Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.’” (2 Corinthians 6:16, 17)

And so, the Lord is calling all of us to be a separate people, a holy people, so that we can follow His upward and outward call.
