A Scripture and a Prayer: “Overcomers”

“I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.” (1 John 2:14)

Prayer:

Your word, Lord, is truth, and when Your word abides within us, Your promise is that its truth will set us free. Truly Lord, Your word living inside of us will help us to then overcome the strategy that Satan has devised to bring us down and make us unable to live a life of victory in You. I see this as Jesus Himself used Your word to defeat Satan’s tactics. Therefore Lord, I want to thank You for the wonderful blessing of Your word, and humbly ask that You help us hide it within our hearts that we would not sin against You. And this I ask in Jesus’s name. AMEN
