Thought For Today: “Blind and See”

Here’s the thought: It’s better to be blind and possess wisdom than it is to see and be blinded with pride.

Solomon said, “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.” (Proverbs 11:2)

In the gospel of John there is a story of Jesus healing a man born blind. After the healing the Pharisees said Jesus was a sinner because He performed this miracle on the Sabbath, which the Pharisees determined was a work thus breaking the law of the Sabbath.

The blind man responded, “We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly person who does his will. Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind. If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.” (John 9:31-33)

The Pharisees who could see where blinded by their pride and religiosity; while the blind man possessed sight to see truth.
