A Scripture and a Prayer: “We’re Never Too Old”

“The righteous will flourish…They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.” (Psalm 92:12-15)

Prayer:

Lord, I must admit that the older I get I wonder about my effectiveness in Your service. I’m not young and able to handle much of the physical rigors that accompany ministry. But then I remember that I have forgotten that it is You who gives strength to the weak, and that where You lead, You provide all that is needed to accomplish Your established purpose. Therefore Lord, forgive my doubt and hesitancy, and renew within me a heart that is fully devoted to You, and let me fulfill Your calling until You call me home. AMEN
