Thought for Today: “Where Heaven and Earth Meet”

Wherever you stand you will always view the horizon. It is where the sky and earth meet and become one. Or to say it another way, it is where heaven and earth meet.

The same could be said about the cross of Christ. It is at the cross where heaven and earth meet because it was at the cross where God met humanity’s greatest need: the forgiveness of sin and salvation.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Everyone needs a new start in life, so we need to look no further than to the horizon and see the cross of Jesus Christ, who through His death reconnected us with our Lord in heaven.
