Thought For Today: “Pray Through the Silence”
One of the answers most people give as to how they are doing is that they are tired, and this condition is far too often translated over into our prayer life.
We grow tired and weary from asking and listening when all we perceive is silence on God’s part. But when we realize that God is at work in the silence, our time in prayer and God’s word will change from that of drudgery to great expectation.
And the reason is because in prayer we’re developing a relationship with our heavenly Father.
So don’t be impatient and quit, but rather continue because beyond this perceived wall is God’s presence.
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” (Romans 12:12)
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” (Colossians 4:2)
