A Scripture and a Prayer: “In Christ Alone”

“Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure.” (Psalm 16:5)

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come today knowing that we are not alone and that You are with us, and that you never will leave nor forsake us. And yet, even knowing this we still feel anxious about that which is going on around us and the uncertainty of living in this world that is so diametrically opposed to all that we believe and that Your word stands for. And so, Heavenly Father, as Your children we come seeking Your guidance and protection, for You alone are our inheritance and blessing. Please guard our hearts, minds, and spirits, and make secure our hope in You and not in this world. AMEN
