Scripture and a Prayer: “God’s Precious Promises”

“He has given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world” (2 Peter 1:4)

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I pray that I may come into a more complete understanding of Your love for me, which is made manifest in Your exceedingly great and precious promises that You have given, beginning with our salvation, and then everything that pertains to our physical and spiritual lives being now partakers of Your divine nature. And then the most wonderful promise of them all, and that is an eternity in heaven with You. I ask that You help me make this knowledge of Your love a central theme in my life so that I can share it with all those who I encounter today. And this I ask in the precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. AMEN
