A Scripture and a Prayer: “No Shame in Believing”

“Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” (Romans 10:11)

Prayer:

Lord, to believe in You should never produce within Your people any sort of reproach or shame. To Timothy, Paul said that he was not ashamed of Jesus in whom he believes and is fully persuaded that He will keep what Paul had committed to him until the end. And then to the church in Rome, such belief finds him saying that He is not ashamed of the gospel of Christ either, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes. Therefore, there should be nothing in which I am ashamed of when it comes to my belief in Jesus Christ and in my sharing my faith with others. Help me, therefore, to be courageous in my faith. And this I ask in Jesus’s name. AMEN
