A Scripture and a Prayer: “A Peaceful Mindset”

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” (Isaiah 26:3)

Prayer:

Lord, as I enter into this New Year, and with everything going on in my life and in the world, I must admit that I have not had that perfect peace, because while I trust fully in You, my mind seems to have a mind of its own, and it continually begins to think about and worry about all that is going on and what lies ahead. Therefore, Lord, I ask if You would help me capture every thought and obey You and Your word. I pray that the thoughts of my mind and the meditation of my heart would be centered on You so that I can experience Your perfect peace in the midst of this imperfect world. And this I ask in Jesus’s name. AMEN
