A Scripture and a Prayer: “God’s Perfect Peace”

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” (Isaiah 26:3)

Prayer:

Lord, as we enter this Christmas season, let’s keep our focus on where it belongs, which isn’t on all the stuff the world says is Christmas, that is, the giving and receiving of presents, the parties and good times, or the decorations. Help us keep our focus on where it belongs, and that is upon Jesus, and the reason for His coming, which was to be that perfect sinless sacrifice for our sins, to be the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world, and You so loved the world that You gave us Your only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Therefore, Lord, help us keep our focus where it belongs, and that is Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us. AMEN
