A Scripture and a Prayer: “A Satisfied Soul”

“I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” (Jeremiah 31:25)

Prayer:

Lord, what a promise! You promised that You will refresh and satisfy even when we are weary and faint. This is the same promise You gave through the prophet Isaiah when you said that this promise is fulfilled when we learn to wait upon You, that is wait upon Your word, will, and way. “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31) Therefore, help us to learn how to wait, which doesn’t mean to sit back, but to wait by serving You and those You place in our paths. And while it might seem like a lot, You will give us the strength to fulfill Your call. And this I ask in Jesus’s name. AMEN
