A Scripture and a Prayer: “A Heart of Thanksgiving”

“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

Prayer:

Lord, I am thankful for all that you have given, even in the midst of such devastation. Therefore, I humbly ask that you help me to grow in Your grace and in an attitude of thanksgiving, instead of an attitude of hopelessness and depression. Help me in this because I know the blessings that come with thankfulness, especially the blessings that come from being in Your will for my life. Therefore, may the words from my mouth, and the mediation of my heart be acceptable to You as I give You all praise and thanksgiving. AMEN
