A Scripture and a Prayer: “Nothing to Fear”
“The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Psalm 118:6)
Prayer:
Lord, while we are told not to fear, fear is a reality in all our lives, and it is a killer of the faith You desire for us to have in You, as it paralyzes our potential and keeps us from launching out into the fullness of Your will. But You are always with us, and therefore we need not fear as You said in Your word. “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” And Jesus, Your promise is that You are with us always, even to the end of this age. Therefore, help us to know and experience Your constant presence especially when we begin to fear what the future may hold. And this I ask in Your precious name, Lord Jesus. AMEN
