A Scripture and a Prayer: “God Our Refuge”
“The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.” (Psalm 9:9)
Prayer:
Hear my cry, O God; give ear to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I cry to You, when my heart is faint and overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a shelter for me, a strong tower against the enemy. Therefore, let me trust in the shelter of Your wings, and let me dwell in Your presence and tabernacle forever. Prepare and preserve me in Your mercy and truth, and may I abide before You forever. And forever I will sing Your praise. AMEN (Prayer from Psalm 61)
