Thought For Today: “The Power of God’s Word”
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
How powerful is God’s word? It not only can change our hearts, but it also saves lives and gives hope in a world of lost hope.
“Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.” (James 1:21)
“For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.” (Romans 15:4)
And so, God’s word is both living and very powerful and can change even the most callous heart. Therefore, let’s allow God’s word to plow up the hardness of our hearts so that His seed of grace and mercy can be planted deep within.
