A Scripture and a Prayer: “Jesus is My Surety”

“I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day.” (1 Timothy 1:12)

Prayer:

Lord, Your word makes it clear that it is by Your grace through my faith in Jesus Christ that I have been saved, and this I fully believe. And Your promise is that when I by faith believe in Jesus that You will reward that faith, because it is that faith that pleases You the most. I also fully believe that You are a God of Your word and promises, as You said that all Your promises are true and can be trusted. It is with these assurances that I am fully convinced that You are able to keep and guard me, my family, and Your people until You take us home in heaven to be with You. And it is this surety that I entrust my life to You. AMEN
