Thought For Today: “Facing Fear By Faith”
Besides procrastination, our fears hold us back from getting a fresh start. Fear has the ability to paralyze our potential, keeps us from launching out, and keeps us from having the type of faith to move forward into God’s will.
“The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.” (Proverbs 29:25)
When the opportunity comes let’s take advantage of it, and not allow fear to stop us from moving forward. The Bible says God doesn’t give us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Faith is God asking us to do something greater than we’ve ever done, and he’s asking us to depend on Him in the process. Therefore, by faith we’re to face our fears.
And we face our fears through our faith in God. The Lord said, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)
