We Need Holy Spirit Vision

Thought For Today: “We Need Holy Spirit Vision”

Holy Spirit Vision is an upward look toward God’s plan and purpose.

The vision is seen in the Great Commandment to love God with the whole of who we are, with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength, to then to love our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-39). And it is also seen in the Great Commission, as we go and make disciples teaching them what Jesus commanded (Matthew 28:19-20).

Of the Holy Spirit Jesus said, “And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.” (John 16:8-11)

How are we to catch and maintain this same vision of what the Holy Spirit is doing, and what He wants us to see? The Bible tells us to set our minds on the things that are above and not on the things that are on this earth (Colossians 3:2).

And to keep our Holy Spirit vision from becoming blurred, we need to keep one eye on the White Throne Judgment of God, and the other eye on the Judgment Seat of Christ. We need to keep one eye on heaven and the other eye on hell.
