Scripture and a Prayer: “Living Water”

“Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:14)

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, You truly are the spring of living water, and whoever drinks in of Your presence will truly never thirst again, and that is because a fountain of living water will spring up from within their soul and spirits into everlasting life. And the reason is because You will give to all those who believe the Holy Spirit, that river of water flowing out from under Your throne. But I also realize that the amount of that river, the amount of that living water that will flow from us can be limited by our faith in You and in Your promises. Therefore, Lord Jesus, increase within me faith, so that this unending source of the living water of the Holy Spirit will flow not only within me, but out from me to this thirsty world. And this I ask in Your name Lord Jesus, AMEN.
