Thought For Today: “God’s Fellow Workers”
“We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.” (2 Corinthians 6:1)
As believers in Jesus Christ, we are neither hirelings nor lords. God doesn’t hire us to do kingdom business, nor are we to lord it over others having them kowtow to our way of thinking or doctrinal persuasion.
Instead, we work together with God for the furtherance of His kingdom to come and for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. We are never to go it alone, and whatsoever we do it’s to be in connection and according with God and what he’s doing.
We are partners in sharing the gospel, albeit God is always the senior partner.
Therefore, in whatever we do, we are to it all for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31). And, in whatever we do, we are to do it as unto the Lord rather than to be seen and congratulated by others (Colossians 3:23).
And so, today go find out what God is doing and join in for his glory.
