A Scripture and a Prayer: “Be Intentional”

“Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.” (Proverbs 4:25-27)

Prayer:

Lord, help me keep my eyes fixed upon the prize, that is, fixed upon You, heaven, and an eternity in Your presence. Help me then run the race set before me, with You and heaven as my finish line. Help me not to be like Peter but instead help me keep my eyes fixed upon You, and off the circumstances and situation that surround me, that is, off the wind and waves that want to take me under. Help me to be intentional to this one thing, and that is seeking You above all else that I might dwell in Your house all the days of my life and behold Your beauty. And this I ask in Your precious name Jesus. AMEN
