Nothing Iffy About the Holy Spirit

Thought For Today: “Nothing Iffy About the Holy Spirit”

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.” (Acts 1:8a)

There’s nothing iffy when it comes to the power available through the residing presence of the Holy Spirit.

This is assured and confirmed when the Apostle Paul said that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, therefore we are no longer our own, but we’ve been bought with a price, which was nothing less than the blood of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

This truth takes the “If” out of the Holy Spirit’s power and presence where now it’s “When,” and “Now.”

But why did I say, “when,” and not just say “now.” Because we need to ask for the Holy Spirit’s power and presence, and “when” we ask, our heavenly Father will faithfully give.

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” (Luke 11:13)

So, there’s nothing iffy about the power and presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives; rather it’s all about when will we ask.
