A Scripture and a Prayer: “The Soul’s Anchor”
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf.” (Hebrews 6:19-20a)
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank you for dying upon the cross in order to be that anchor for my soul. An anchor You offered in heaven for me through Your blood as You entered the most Holy Place obtaining my eternal redemption. Help me, therefore, not to slip this anchor and find myself drifting away spiritually beyond Your appointed destination for my life. Let me then give all the more earnest heed to this precious promise You have given. And so, once again I say thank you. AMEN
