A Scripture and a Prayer: “Transformed by the Spirit”

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 3:18)

Prayer:

Lord, I pray that when I look into the mirror, or when people look at me, the reflection that comes back or what others see is not me, but rather it is Jesus Christ living within me. Therefore, I ask that You will help me stop conforming to this sin-darkened world, and that You would instead continue to transform me more and more into Your wonderful image Lord Jesus. And so, may others see within me the beauty of Your love, peace, grace, and mercy for their lives. Therefore, like the song, “Make Me Like You,” I say, “Lord I am willing do what you must do, make me like you, Lord, make me like You.” AMEN
