Thought for Today: “Salvation’s Strength”
No matter how strong, smart, successful, or wealthy someone is; they can never save themselves.
The psalmist makes this clear saying, “Those who trust in their wealth and boast in the multitude of their riches, none of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him, for the redemption of their souls is costly.” (Psalm 49:6-8)
The Lord also make this clear saying, “‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.” (Zechariah 4:6)
The only thing that can bring salvation is our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and it is His grace, distributed by the Holy Spirit within our hearts that has the power to save.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
And so, our salvation cannot be attained through religion, rules, or regulations, but through the power of God’s wonderful grace.
