A Scripture and a Prayer: “A Gesture of Love”

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

Prayer:

Lord, as I come to an end of this Holy Day of Christmas, a day that celebrates the birth of Your Son, Jesus Christ, let me not forget that this is also a celebration of Your love towards me and towards Your creation. In that while we all were steeped in the darkness of sin, You sent Your light, the light of Your Son, to help us out of our sins and into the light of Your love, a love that ushers us into Your presence not only now but for all eternity. And so, today I come with a heart filled with joy, and I celebrate this wonderful gift You have provided. And may I always remember and celebrate this gift and gesture of love throughout the year. And this I ask in Your precious Son’s name, Jesus. AMEN
