Thought for Today: “Get Up And Move”
We have to stop being comfortable where we are as Christians and as a church and move to where God wants us to be.
When the believers got comfortable with their faith and with the “church” in Jerusalem, God brought persecution to get them to fulfill the Great Commission, and go out into the world, starting in Jerusalem, and then into Judah, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth, and to accomplish this He gave them the power of the Holy Spirit.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8).
To the Jews after their deliverance from Egypt and then receiving the Law, God told them they had been hanging around long enough, and that now was the time to move.
He said, “You have dwelt long enough at this mountain. Turn and take your journey.” (Deuteronomy 1:6-7a)
God is calling us to move into the fullness of His purpose and plan and go make disciples of all nations.
