Thought for Today: “Faith over Doubt”
While science has broken the sound barrier, our faith breaks the doubt barrier.
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)
Fear overwhelms. Fear paralyzes and sabotages any chance we have of getting ourselves out of the dumps. It strangles the life right out of us and drains all of our desires.
Fear also has the ability to paralyze our potential, keeps us from launching out, and keeps us from having the type of faith to move forward into God’s will.
Faith is God asking us to do something greater than we’ve ever done, and he’s asking us to depend on Him in the process. Therefore, by faith we’re to face our fears.
The Bible says God doesn’t give us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
King David proclaimed, “I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.” (Psalm 34:4)
