A Scripture and a Prayer: “Our Strength and Portion”

“My flesh and my heart fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” (Psalm 73:26)

Prayer

Again, Lord, I come today looking at a world gone crazy, and within me, that is, in my flesh and heart, I am overwhelmed because there is no one or nothing in this world that can help, that isn’t a part of the problem. But there is You, O Lord, that I can turn to and know that You are always there to help, because while the world is unreliable, You are not, because You have never left nor forsaken me. And in my time of trials and uncertainty, You have been my strength and portion. And so, I thank you Lord for Your goodness that has never failed and Your unending supply of grace and mercy. AMEN
